UTS University is a Japanese Icon

No ifs, ands or UTS.
The UTS Building: Boring? Or boring through layers of cranium into our imaginations!!!?
It doesn't look so bad here because you've got Sydney University's beautiful Victoria Park in the foreground. So let's separate it from its context:
It's a giant brick in every sense. I'm not paying out the university though, it's fine, it even gets a comma in its abbreviation as the full name is "The University of Technology, Sydney". Not to mention, their library requires the scanning of a student card to enter. At Sydney's Fisher Library, anyone from the Queen of England to Homeless McTransient can walk in and start flipping through Quebecoise dictionaries. I'm UTS brown with envy.
Maybe it used to be a GIANT TREE and James Cook friends just carved out some ridges and decided to call it a building. It's dull and brown and would be better suited in Melbourne so the Yarra river wouldn't be the only stained monument.
Interestingly though, in spite of all this, the Japanese actually borrowed the design of UTS and made a cartoon character from it. Complete truth! His name is Domokun, if you've never heard of him, here he is:
He's a lovable fluffball who's probably majoring in Applied Chemistry or something. According to Wikipedia: "Domo's favorite food is seasoned beef with potatoes and he has a strong dislike for apples (an unexplained mystery in his DNA). Domo is known to pass gas repeatedly when nervous or in a bad mood." I cannot think of a better description of UTS either. You can understand the connection more when considering the name of the UTS city campus is actually called Domokun Campus.
I dying with jealousy now, Sydney Uni could never have a mascot made out of it unless it was a pair of mutated conjoined twins with tennis courts for hands. Oh well
Here's a video of UTS in action!!!

About the library thing... Apparently UNSW, UTS, and USYD (not sure about maquarie though) could use each other's libraries and use their respective library cards to borrow books from all of the libraries. But the UTS library needs an access card to get in... hmm...
not sure if this is true though.

Anyway, the TV ad is disturbing. The little girl looks like she's face planted in a gigantic turd... and is happy about it.

How cute he is.
I think buildings should be furrier, but I suppose moulting would be a problem for.the street sweepers.
